Bwari Council Boss Hails Gospel Artiste, Urges Musicians to Preach Peace
The Executive Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon. (Dr) John Gabaya, has called on Nigerian artistes to use their craft in promoting peace, unity and harmony.
Gabaya gave the charge on Sunday during the launch of Kpeyelo, a new gospel album by Bro. Caleb Elisha, at 1st ECWA Church, Maitama Kubwa, Abuja. He was represented by the Council Secretary, Hon. Eli Peter Kadanya.
Commending Elisha for his consistency and spirit-filled music ministry, Gabaya described the gospel singer as “a vessel whose works have inspired, entertained and transformed lives across religious and social boundaries.” He pledged his administration’s continued support for creative talents in the council.
Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Agada Ernest Godwin in a statement indicated that the album launch, attracted dignitaries from within and outside Bwari, adding that it also featured financial donations and goodwill messages from council officials and party leaders. Notable among them were Hon. Sabwaya Morris, Supervisory Councillor for Health; Chief Sunday Zaka Sumpe, Chief of Staff; Hon. Danladi Fajemi, SA Political; Hon. Peter Obeya, Usuma Ward Councillor; and Hon. Julius Adamu (JP), PDP Chairmanship flagbearer and former Speaker of the Bwari Legislative Arm.
Adamu, in his remarks, congratulated Elisha and urged residents to continue celebrating homegrown artistes who showcase the council positively.

In his response, Bro. Elisha expressed gratitude to Dr. Gabaya and his team for their encouragement and support, saying their presence at the event was a major source of motivation to him and fellow artistes.
Other guests included Hon. Musa Dikko, Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission (Ombudsman); Hon. Nasara Rabo, former Chairman of Kargako LGA; Hon. Yohana Jojo, PDP FCT Organizing Secretary; and Hon. Dalhatu Ezikiekil, former FCT Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission.
