In his Easter message delivered in Lokoja, the governor described the season as a sacred reminder of love, sacrifice and renewal, urging citizens to reflect on its deeper meaning.
Extending greetings to Christians in Nigeria and across the world, Ododo said the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ embody lessons that should shape both personal conduct and societal values.
He noted that Easter symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, stressing that regardless of prevailing challenges, hope remains inevitable.
“No matter the trials we face, light will always prevail over darkness,” he said.

He also commended the resilience of Kogi residents, attributing the state’s progress to their continued support and cooperation.
Calling for reflection, the governor encouraged citizens to use the Easter season to deepen their commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and unity across ethnic and religious lines.
He further urged acts of compassion and support for the less privileged, while appealing for prayers for Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
