ACTU Committee Flags Off Staff Awareness Campaign at Finance Ministry

The Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) of the Federal Ministry of Finance has launched an internal sensitization campaign to enhance staff awareness on the Ministry’s anti-corruption drive and reinforce its commitment to transparency and accountability.

Chairman of ACTU and Director of Economic Research and Policy Management, Mr. Abubakar Othman, disclosed this during a strategic visit to the Department of Information and Public Relations, which served as the launchpad for the campaign.
Chief Information Officer, Francis L. Kusa in a statement quoted Mr. Othman to have emphasized the importance of information officers in amplifying the campaign’s message across the Ministry. “Our goal is to deepen institutional integrity and help align staff with the Ministry’s broader mandate,” he said.

In response, Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr. Mohammed Manga, welcomed the initiative, describing it as impactful and long overdue. He pledged the department’s full support and encouraged ACTU to adopt inclusive engagement methods.

Inaugurated on December 20, 2024, by Permanent Secretary Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya, the ACTU Committee continues to drive anti-corruption advocacy and policy support within the Ministry.
