Northern Senators Forum Condemns Borno School Abduction, Warns Against “Another Chibok”

The Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, has condemned the abduction of 42 students and children from GDSS Mussa in Askira-Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, describing the attack as “a direct assault on the right to education and the future of Northern Nigeria.”
In a statement issued Monday, the forum called on the Federal Government, Operation Hadin Kai, and security agencies to intensify rescue operations and ensure the safe and unconditional release of the abducted children.
The forum warned against allowing the incident to become “another prolonged tragedy like the Chibok abduction,” stressing that every hour counts in efforts to rescue the victims.
“We must not allow this incident to become another prolonged tragedy like the Chibok abduction. Every hour counts, and the families of these children cannot endure another decade of uncertainty and pain,” the statement read.
The Northern Senators Forum also pledged solidarity with the people of Borno State and demanded coordinated measures to prevent further attacks on schools across the region.
