Senate Committee on Army Pays Tribute to Fallen Soldiers

The Senate Committee on Army has commiserated with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, over the death of Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Saidu Paiko and other gallant soldiers who lost their lives in Borno State.
In a statement signed by the Committee Chairman, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the lawmakers described the fallen soldiers as true patriots who embodied the highest ideals of courage, duty, and sacrifice in defence of the nation.
“On behalf of the Senate Committee on Army, I extend our heartfelt condolences to you, the Nigerian Army, and the families of the gallant officers and soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty,” Senator Yar’adua stated.
He reaffirmed the Committee’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the welfare and operational readiness of troops across the country.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to provide the Nigerian Army with the resources and support needed to sustain its vital role in safeguarding peace and national security,” the statement added.
The Committee also expressed sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes.
“May Almighty Allah grant them Jannatul Firdaus and comfort their loved ones in this difficult time. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their memory will continue to inspire our collective resolve for a safer and stronger Nigeria.”
