The Kogi State Government has announced the death of Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, father of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. He passed away on Monday at the age of 83.
The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Chief Kingsley Femi Fanwo, confirmed the development in a statement issued Monday evening, describing the late patriarch’s passing as a profound loss.
According to the statement, the Janazah (funeral prayer) and burial will be held in line with Islamic rites.
“We pray to Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus,” Fanwo said. “We also ask Almighty Allah to grant His Excellency, the Governor, and the entire Ododo family the strength to bear this loss with fortitude.”
