President Tinubu Arrives in Lafia to Warm Reception by APC Governors and Stakeholders

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday touched down at the Usman Dan Fodio Airport in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, to a warm reception by top political leaders, traditional rulers, and party faithful.

Tinubu’s aircraft landed at approximately 1:58 p.m. on June 25, 2025, as part of a high-profile visit to engage stakeholders and inspect development projects in the state.

Ahead of his arrival, six All Progressives Congress (APC) governors had arrived at the airport in separate flights. They include AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Umaru Bago (Niger), and the Deputy Governor of Gombe State.

Also present in Nasarawa for the visit were Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State; APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje; former Minister of Communications, Prof. Isa Pantami; Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Suleiman; and former INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, among other dignitaries.

President Tinubu was received by key Nasarawa APC leaders including Governor Abdullahi Sule, former APC National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu, former Governor Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, former Minister of Information Mr. Labaran Maku, and all serving National Assembly members from the state.

The President’s visit forms part of a broader engagement strategy to consolidate support for his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, as well as acknowledge the strides made by the Sule-led government in infrastructure, agriculture, and solid minerals development.
