Lugard Tv offers FUL best graduating Mass Comm. student internship placement

LUGARD TV, Kogi state-owned television station, has offered internship opportunity to the best graduating Mass Communication student of the Federal University, Lokoja, Khadijat Blessing Mohammed.

Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, revealed this while receiving Miss Khadijat Blessing Mohammed at the Government House Media Centre, Lokoja on Thursday.

He noted that the offer was part of Governor Ododo’s commitment to promote and reward excellence by nurturing young talents and providing them with hands-on experience as well as the enabling environment to grow and succeed as professionals in the media industry.

Isa assured that the Government House Media Centre and LugardTV would afford the student invaluable experience in practical media knowledge and exposure to intense media operation.

He said that the Media outfit would also provide the intern, an opportunity to work with media professionals who work in and around the Kogi State Government.

The Special Adviser disclosed that the offer by LugardTV was aimed at bridging the gap between the academia and the media industry by opening doors for future media leaders.

He further noted that the internship placement is intended to provide the candidate with the chance to engage in various aspects of journalism, high-quality content creation and best-in-class media intelligence from which she may choose to specialize in the industry.

In her response, Miss Khadijat Blessing Mohammed expressed appreciation for the gesture and promised to utilize the opportunity explore and exploit the various aspects of media practice in the course of working at the Government House Media Centre as an intern.
