Farm Alert Launches “Eggs of Hope” to Address Malnutrition in Northern Nigeria

Farm Alert has launched “Eggs of Hope,” a new initiative aimed at combating malnutrition among children in Northern Nigeria.
The program, part of Project Sadakat, was officially introduced on October 11, 2024, in Abuja and seeks to leverage crowdfunding to provide essential eggs to vulnerable children.

The launch event featured notable speakers, including Hauwa Liman, Technical Adviser to the Vice President, who highlighted the initiative’s significance in addressing malnutrition in the region. Support also came from Dr. Oladotun Fadipe of the Veterinary Council and ACP Chinna.

Through “Eggs of Hope,” individuals can donate 200 naira, which directly funds the purchase of eggs from local farmers. This not only supports local agriculture but also ensures that children in schools and communities receive much-needed nutrition.

The initiative aims to improve child health, enhance cognitive development, and reduce health risks associated with malnutrition. By fostering local economic growth and community involvement, “Eggs of Hope” also promotes a sustainable food system.

Farm Alert encourages everyone to contribute to this vital cause. Donations can be made on their website at farmalert.com.ng/donate. Through this initiative, Farm Alert aims to create lasting positive change in the lives of children and communities across Northern Nigeria.
