Imasuen Disowns Edo South 2027 Poster, Threatens Legal Action

Senator Neda Imasuen has denied any link with a political poster showing him as one of the contenders for the Edo South senatorial seat in the 2027 election.
Imasuen said his name and photograph were used without his permission and described the poster as misleading.
In a statement, the senator said he is not the candidate of the Labour Party or any other political party for the 2027 election.
He said he had already accepted the outcome of the relevant political process and did not approve any new campaign material presenting him as a contender.
Imasuen warned Prince Omokhodion Okojie and those behind the poster to stop using his name, picture and identity for political activities without his consent.
He said any further use of his identity without permission could lead to legal action.
The senator also urged the public not to believe political materials that present him as a candidate without his approval.
The controversy started after a poster for the 2027 Edo South senatorial race circulated with Imasuen’s photograph among those listed as possible contenders.
